A dated record of what has shipped in Steward and why.
We found and fixed a fault where four of the six AI features would have quietly refused to run for beta testers unless a personal API key was set, which beta testers do not need. All six now check access the same way. We also verified the whole chain end to end on a real device before writing this entry.
The banner has always summed up your day in words, like “The plan is beyond today’s capacity”. It now also shows the two numbers behind that: time planned and time actually available. Tap the banner to cycle what it shows. A planner should show you the arithmetic, not just the summary.
We audited everything a new user sees in their first five minutes and removed every red. In Steward, red is reserved for system failure or data risk. A busy day is not an emergency, and the interface should not treat it like one.
Empty states across the app now say what the screen is for and what you can do next, instead of just being empty.
Your backup is a single file protected by a passphrase you choose, saved wherever you choose. Opening it requires the passphrase you chose, and we do not hold a copy. Steward keeps all your data on your phone, so a backup you control matters.
Anything Steward writes about your day, you can now remove one item at a time, not just all-or-nothing.
